The fact that September is scarily close to being over (seriously, what happened to August?!) instills a sense of urgency in getting this project started. Time being what it is, I will wake up tomorrow, and it will be October 31st, and…let’s avoid the melodrama for now, yes? Yes.
Regardless, the journey for November must begin, and with that in mind I headed out today to pick up some fabric for the intended costumes. The only fabrics I didn’t find on this visit to Fabricland were the greys I need for pants and top hat, and the black-and-white striped for an inmate costume. Pictured here are the black for a tuxedo jacket and a gangster shirt, the pin-striping for the gangster suit, the red for the gangster tie, and the “burgundy” for the tuxedo vest.
I’m curious to see how the pin-striping will look on Timmy, since its meant for human-sized clothing. I really hope it doesn’t look too weird. I’ll be keeping an eye out for other fabrics with more monkey-proportioned stripes the next time I head out. I’ll be trying a different location so hopefully I’ll have better luck.
